Our lessons are designed to give you the confidence to paddle independently or to take you to the next level if you’re already paddling well
Generally this lesson includes both fundamental personal paddling and safety & rescue skills.
On completion you’ll be able to paddle efficiently and effectively in a range of conditions.
You’ll leave equipped with skills to ensure your own safety and that of others, and with appropriate rescue skills to help yourself and others in difficulty.

You should at least be able to stand up on a board and paddle forward but could be an advanced paddler looking to master a new technique.
All ages are welcome but under 18’s must be supervised by a parent or guardian.
Looking For Something A Bit Different?
We can tailor the course for your specific needs so if you want something a bit different, for example if you’re a more advanced paddleboarder looking to pick up some new techniques, just let us know when you book and we’ll sort it out.
What’s Included?
All equipment such as Wetsuits and Buoyancy Aids are provided, of course if you have your own, bring them along.
When Do Lessons Run?
Lessons last for and hour and a half and run every Saturday starting at:

Price
Paddleboarding Lessons cost £40 for 1 and 1/2 hours.
We’ve been Stand Up Paddleboarding since the sport began and use that experience and knowledge in our teaching, meaning you’ll become a confident, efficient paddler…fast.
Where We Teach
When learning, the correct conditions are essential for enjoyment, safety and progression, for that reason we tend to use canals as our main locations.
They provide the perfect learning environment with stunning views, lots to explore and they are generally sheltered from the wind and so work in most weather conditions.
That said we do work from several different locations depending on the conditions and your requirements. Check out the Our Locations page for more info.

Get Qualified
We also offer British Canoeing Paddle Start and Paddle Explore courses. These are fully certificated courses in which you will learn plenty of the skills and knowledge you need to become an independent paddler. It’s a great way to learn and pick up a nationally recognised award at the same time.
